About Bessey's Meat Market

A Family Tradition The business of fresh meat is nothing new for the Bessey family. Roy Bessey has been working in the meat industry most of his life. He worked in multiple meat markets and related departments until in 1967 Roy and his wife Kate opened a local grocery store, "Bessey's Grocery" in the very same building the meat market is today. They were in business until 1984. Then in March of 2008 their son, Glenn, decided to bring the hometown meat market with fresh quality meat back to the Rhinelander community.
